Cartiere Modesto Cardella - Master in Production of paper and cardboard

25 July , 2014

The 2014/2015 edition of the course is dedicated to the memory of Luca Bianchini, formerly a student and then a professor of the Master, Energy Manager of Cartiere Modesto Cardella, who died on 16 June last year.
All set for the twelfth edition of the Master in Production of paper/cardboard and Management of the Production System in Lucca, promoted by the University of Pisa and organized by Celsius and the Lucchese Fondation for higher education and research. The Association of Industrialists, at  the forefront of many of the initiatives of the university course, organised the working table, evidencing the importance of the connection between the needs of the main productive sector of the province and this reality of higher education.
The successful interplay between academics and business leaders has been confirmed and enhanced in order to provide a rigorous preparation that is immediately marketable in the working world. A marketability that is widely recognized, given the high levels of placement that the Master continues to get. The course will start in late November and has a duration of one academic year, it gives 60 college credits and is intended for graduates in engineering and science.
Among the new features provided in the new academic year is the agreement with the University of Karlstad (Sweden) and Grenoble (France) which provides for exchanges between students, with a view to providing a more international preparation. On account of the global direction that the paper and cardboard sector is increasingly taking, some courses of the Master will be held in English. New specialties, in addition to those already existing, will be inserted into the educational program and an internship of 300 hours (abroad and in research centers), alternating classroom/company, as well as a full program of seminars, have been confirmed.
From this  year, for those interested in reinforcing their training on specific topics, some courses of the second semester can also be attended. In fact, the possibility to enrol on single modules has been activated. There will be several scholarships available, for partial exemption of the registration fees, for the thesis projects and to attend courses in America.
